The Lunar Orbiter Laser Altimeter (LOLA) Gridded Data Record Permanently Shadowed Map (GDRPSR) data products are maps of the permanent shadowed polar regions.

Maps are distributed in polar stereographic projection. The 2011 maps have a map resolution at the pole of 240 m/pixel and extend to +/- 264 km in both directions, which corresponds to complete coverage from ~81.3 degrees to the poles, and partial coverage down to ~77.7 degrees. The 2014 maps have a map resolution at the pole of 240 m/pixel and extend to +/- 770 km in both directions, which corresponds to complete coverage from 65 degrees to the poles, and partial coverage down to ~55.2 degrees. The 2016 maps have a map resolution at the pole of 240 m/pixel or 60 m/pixel and extend to +/- 770 km or +/- 151 km in either direction, which corresponds to complete coverage from 65 or 85 degrees to the poles, and partial coverage down to ~55.2 or ~82.9 degrees.

The value is scaled and offset.

Value = DN * SCALING_FACTOR + OFFSET. (DN = Digital Number)

LOLA GDRPSR 2011 and 2014 products have the following file names:

81 = 2011 products

65 = 2014 products

N = north polar region
